You know what’s really funny to me?
Harry Potter and Twilight have become our generations Star Wars vs. Star Trek. Goofy fantards obsessing and arguing over which one is better. Kids spending all their time thinking about nothing but one of the two, and how much it rules over the other. “Captain Kirk could kick Han Solo’s ass” has turned into “Harry would avada kedavra the fuck out of Edward”. It’s the same obsessive mannerisms we associate with the sci-fi geeks of the past.
Please just remember that fiction will only get you so far.
